Amy Watson,  Valdosta State University

Amy is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Valdosta State University.  Her  research explores consumer decision making and government-required product  labeling. Her research about addictive tanning among Millennials was a top 20 article in  the Journal of Consumer Affairs. She was honored with the campus-wide Teaching  Excellence winner in 2018 and won the teaching competition award at the 2022 Society  for Marketing Advancement conference. She utilizes techniques in the classroom that  help students acquire more conscious, non-judgmental awareness of their behaviors,  leading to more mindful goal setting.
